“Shukran,” directed by Pietro Malegori, is set to premiere in Italy on July 8, 9, and 10, 2024. The film is inspired by true events and follows the story of Dr. Haider, a pediatric heart surgeon whose life takes a dramatic turn and he faces a moral dilemma when he has to operate on the son of the terrorist responsible for his brother’s death. The movie stars Shahab Hosseini, Abdelhafid Metalsi, Antonio Folletto, and Camélia Jordana. It was filmed in Puglia, Southern Italy, and is based on Giovanni Terzi’s novel “Shukran – Ti salverò”.
