Shahab Hosseini and Iranian actress Sareh Bayat in "Labyrinth"

“Labyrinth” is a film directed by Amirhossein Torabi, written by Tala Motazedi, and produced by Sepehr Seifi, released in 2019. Torabi undertook the directing of “Labyrinth” as his first feature-length film.

With Shahab Hosseini as the lead role, this film narrates the story of a couple who are going to immigrate before their son suddenly goes missing. The disappearance of the boy remains a secret from the police throughout the film, perhaps to protect the protagonist’s other secrets. His dramatic need in this confrontation is to both find his missing child and keep his secret affair with another woman hidden. The primary plot revolves around the disappearance of the young boy, which brings the family to the brink of collapse. However, there are other secondary events in the narrative that significantly influence the main plot, steering the drama in different directions, hence the name of the film.

Hosseini released a video supporting the film and its director during its screening, in which he said: “Making a good film is the duty of every filmmaker; therefore, make a film worthy of the audience. Amirhossein Torabi has succeeded in doing this in his first filmmaking experience. We participated in the film ‘Labyrinth’ with love and passion, and I hope the audience will also welcome this film.”
