The short film “The Diving”, written and directed by Mohammad Tanabandeh and produced by Amir Seyedabadi, has made its eighth international appearance by being selected for the 9th edition of the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF). This festival, recognized by the Canadian Screen Awards, holds significant prestige and is considered one of the qualifying paths to the Canadian Oscars.

TINFF is held annually in Toronto with the participation of prominent companies such as NollywoodTV, iROKO Partners, and FilmOne, alongside platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Afrostream. Notable supporters of this event include TD Bank, Air Canada, and York University.

With a focus on cultural diversity, it brings together filmmakers from across the globe. This festival is a platform for emerging voices and unique narratives in the world cinema landscape.

“The Diving” had previously screened at the 78th edition of the Salerno International Film Festival in Italy and the 19th edition of the Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival, earning recognition for its storytelling.

The film’s international distribution is managed by Seven Skies.
