The feature film RAHA (My Daughter’s Hair), produced by Saeed Khani and directed by Hesam Hosseini, continues its international success by being selected for the 12th edition of the prestigious Hook International Film Festival in Iraqi Kurdistan. This selection comes only two weeks after its appearance at the Klaw Festival, marking the film’s fourth international presence.

RAHA (My Daughter’s Hair) Competes in the International Competition Section

The Hook International Film Festival is one of the most renowned cinematic events in the region, hosting films from across the world. RAHA (My Daughter’s Hair) will compete in the main international competition for several awards, including
the Chayz Dablelr Koni Award,
the Koni Award,
and the $5,000 New Talent Prize.

The festival takes place from December 9 to 16, 2025, corresponding to December 18 to 25 in the Iranian calendar.

Before its selection at the Hook Festival, RAHA (My Daughter’s Hair) had already won two awards at major festivals in Italy and India. The film’s international distribution and festival strategy are managed by Madakto Pictures.
