Official awards and trophies of the 3rd Seven Skies International Short Film Festival

TEHRAN – The closing ceremony of the 3rd Edition of the Seven Skies International Short Film Festival was held at the Zima Mall Cinema Campus, bringing together filmmakers, artists, jury members, special guests, and cinema professionals, where the winners of this edition were officially announced.


This event launched its activities in 2022 with the aim of supporting independent cinema, discovering new talents, expanding cultural exchanges, and creating a platform for displaying creative works. In its third edition, it hosted numerous films from Iran and various countries around the world.

The ceremony commenced with the screening of the festival’s official teaser and a review of the activities and achievements of the third edition. Following this, Shahab Hosseini, Founder and President of the Seven Skies International Short Film Festival, delivered a speech regarding the future vision of the festival, the importance of independent cinema, and the role of this event in establishing connections among filmmakers worldwide.

Subsequently, in the presence of the jury members, the winners of the various categories were introduced.

In the awards section, the Best International Short Film award was granted to the film “Dysmorphic,” directed by Grant Swanson from the United States of America. Due to the director’s absence in Iran, the award was accepted by his representative.

The Best Iranian Short Film award was presented to the film “Under the Shady Oak,” directed by Hossein Allahyari.

Furthermore, Sarina Fathi successfully received the Best Cinematography award for the film “Lost.”

On the sidelines of the closing ceremony, a collection of exclusive interviews with the directors, actors, and crew members of the films present at the festival was recorded and published. Additionally, an exclusive interview with Hesam Farahmand, Head of Jury, will be released soon through the festival’s official media channels.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the festival secretariat, while thanking the filmmakers, jury members, guests, media, sponsors, and all executive staff, expressed hope that the 4th Edition of the Seven Skies International Short Film Festival will be held with a wider participation of artists and outstanding works from all around the world.

The Seven Skies International Short Film Festival will continue its activities in future editions, focusing on supporting independent short cinema, introducing new talents, and developing cultural interactions.
