
The short film “Igol,” directed by Nafiseh Zohri, has been officially selected for the 76th Montecatini International Short Film Festival in Italy. The prestigious festival will take place from November 5 to 9, 2025 in the historic city of Montecatini.

The Montecatini Film Festival is one of the oldest and most significant film festivals in Italy, with a history dating back nearly a century. Its cinematic legacy began in the 1920s with the presence of legendary figures such as Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks. Today, it stands alongside major international events like the Venice International Film Festival in terms of prestige and heritage.
The film “Igol” has already won several international awards, including a 10,000 Lira prize from the Kisa Film Festival in Konya, Turkey.
It has also received recognition from festivals such as the Flow Festival, 15 Minutes of Fame, and the Dirigo International Student Film Festival.
