Mohammadreza Samian during an exclusive interview about his role in the film “Raha”.

A Time for Villainous Roles to Shine!

The performances in Raha, directed by Hessam Farahmand and produced by Saeed Khani, have been a standout feature of the film’s Nowruz box office success, drawing attention from both audiences and critics alike.

Perhaps this strong ensemble is one reason why Raha secured the Crystal Simorgh for Best First Feature at the 43rd Fajr Film Festival.

The cast includes Shahab Hosseini, Ghazal Shakeri, Zoha Esmaeili, Arman Mirzaei, and Mohammadreza Samian. Renowned filmmaker Marzieh Boroumand also contributed as a directing consultant on the project.

Among the film’s noteworthy performers is Mohammadreza Samian, a rising and prolific young actor, who plays a key character in the story. Samian had previously appeared in Orange Forest, the TV series Tooba, and the short film Reconstruction.
