The sci-fi short film “Zone 11” by Ali Ghiasabadi recently won an honorary diploma at the 28th International Police Award Arts Festival, marking its eighth appearance at international events. This festival takes place every October in Italy.
The “Apoxyomenos International Award” is presented to notable figures in sports and entertainment who have positively impacted the reputation of the police through their work. The award, designed by sculptor Carlo Badii and made by master Massimo Palumbo at AURART Arezzo, is named after the famous statue by Lysippos and is crafted from silver.
The crime genre, both in literature and film, has long celebrated police work and inspired countless stories across various artistic forms. Police officers serve as a backdrop for many narratives, reflecting the experiences of the individuals they meet in their careers.
