The feature film “Takht-e Tavoos” (Peacock Throne), directed and produced by Seyed Shahab Hosseini, has been awarded Best International Feature Film at the 10th Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF 2026).
Having previously received 10 nominations across multiple categories at the 10th edition of TINFF, the film claimed the main prize in the international feature category during the festival’s closing ceremony on September 12, 2026.
The trailer for “Takht-e Tavoos” also received an award, securing a double achievement for the production at the Toronto-based event.
Directed by Seyed Shahab Hosseini, the film features an ensemble cast including Saman Arastoo, Ali Shadman, Rahim Noroozi, and Gelareh Abbasi.
