
The series Aaban, directed by Reza Dadoee and produced by Majid Molayi, has received two awards at the Girona International Film Festival in Spain.
According to the public relations office of the Sheyda platform, Aaban, directed by Reza Dadoee, won the Special Jury Prize
at the 37th edition of the Girona Festival in its first international appearance. The director also received the festival’s Best Emerging Director Award
along with the official statuette.
The jury, selection committee, and festival management granted these awards to Aaban and its director in recognition of the series’ artistic merit, production quality, and meaningful content.
The Girona Festival is considered one of the oldest and most respected film events in Catalonia and Spain. Each year it attracts more than 50,000 viewers and serves as a key platform for showcasing independent and innovative cinema from the Mediterranean region.
The series Aaban, starring actors such as Shahab Hosseini, Laleh Marzban, Amin Hayai, Mirsaeed Molavian, Mina Sadati, Reza Akhlaqi-Rad, Bahareh Kian Afshar, Hamid Ebrahimi, and Behzad Khalaj, is the first original production of the Sheyda streaming platform and has already enjoyed strong audience reception in Iran.
The international distribution of the series is handled by Seven Skies Entertainment.
