Iranian independent cinema continues its global momentum. The feature drama Raha, touring internationally under the title My Daughter’s Hair, has secured an official selection at one of North America’s premier independent film festivals.
Official Selection at 44th Flickers’ Rhode Island
Directed by Hesam Farahmand and produced by Saeed Khani, My Daughter’s Hair was selected for competition at the 44th Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) in the United States.

Widely regarded as a key qualifying platform for independent filmmakers, the festival takes place August 4–9 in Providence, Rhode Island.

Next Stop: 22nd Kazan Film Festival
Following its US run, the film heads to Russia to compete in the main competition at the 22nd Kazan International Film Festival “Altyn Minbar,” running September 4–8, 2026.
